Pumpkin Spice Cocoa

It is OCTOBER! And you know what that means? It is pumpkin spice season at Citrus & Cane! Everywhere you look there is pumpkin spice everything! I am not going to lie, it took me a while to start getting into the pumpkin spice craze…I guess I am not as basic as I thought I was! I still, to this day, do not like pumpkin spice lattes. They are just way too bitter to me. But, I have come across a pumpkin spice drink this year that I can get behind! Have you tried a pumpkin spice hot chocolate? Let me tell you, you are not going to ever drink hot chocolate the same ever again! This drink made me a pumpkin spice believer out of me and I can’t wait for all of you to try it!

Pumpkin Spice Cocoa Recipe

The fall recipe is quite simple. I already had most of the ingredients inside of my pantry. The only thing I had to go out and purchase was a can of pumpkin puree. Sadly enough, I already had all of the fancy toppings! Once October hits, I stock up on all types of Halloween baking necessities like black and orange sprinkles and all of the Halloween shaped marshmallows. I am a bit Halloween OBSESSED! It has always been my favorite holiday since I was a kid and I as an adult I fully embrace SPOOKY SZN! I counted 37 pumpkins at my house and it is only the beginning of October!

You are going to want to get cozy for this recipe. It makes a good date night in drink! So pop in your favorite Halloween movie and grab two cute mugs! I basically have all 8 Harry Potter movies on repeat this season so that is what we will be watching while making this hot beverage. Let’s get started!
