Sara Boone Collaboration
For the month of November, we have partnered with an amazing local artist, Sara Boone. Her creativity is boundless as she uses multiple mediums to create her art on logos, apparel and even album covers. We love our community and getting to know the awesome people that help it to thrive. Sara is one of those people and Citrus & Cane is grateful to share this experience with her and entrusting us with her designs.
On top of her many talents, Sara is an advocate for the Humane Society of South Mississippi. This statewide organization provides shelter for homeless pets. Through adoption and spaying/neutering the Humane Society is working to eliminate unnecessary euthanasia. Their goal is to provide each pet a loving home, in which they can live out their life. This is being made possible through efforts to reunite lost pets with their owners and transporting adoptable pets to partner shelters for a chance at adoption. This nationwide shelter is a nonprofit organization, so the number of donations they receive directly impacts how many pets they are able to help. Which is why we are so happy to be giving back along side Sara!
“Hey everyone, my name is Sara Boone I am a graphic designer artist and photographer from Biloxi Mississippi and I am so excited to announce my collaboration with Citrus & Cane. I have designed for you six patterns inspired by pop art that are available on masks scrunchies and even stickers. Best of all a portion of each sale is going to be donated to the Humane Society. I have always loved animals and I have been able to rescue and foster from the Humane Society before, so this is something that is very special to me. I wanted to show you a little bit of my design process. I start by very loosely sketching in my sketchbook whatever ideas I have and then I use my tablet in Adobe illustrator to create the final designs. Thank yall and I hope you enjoy the collection. “
